If I am judging this album by the way I've heard other people talk negatively about this musical genre then I'd have to admit that I have heard many people say they do not think that surf music is a valid thing to check out in its own right. For me I like to look at it as a person who is interested in music in general. Even though I have to admit I am not really all that big on liking it especially when I think of the most traditional types of it myself, I try to take it in like any other musical style and just think about how it was all originally played, consider what I thought the best parts were, how it might have been recorded and produced from start to finish and what might have been the root creative inspiration for it IF I discover that the music doesn't sound terrible when I go to play it. With all that said I have to write that on this album I've heard a little bit of good playing, some mediocre playing and some really badly played moments in a few songs as well. I don't think this is the type of thing you want to play at anyone persons dance party or beach get together but I do believe I heard a few good spots in the album that I liked. I give this album two stars.
